Android Custom Rom Review and Tips

Custom Rom are an OS or so-called operating system which is usually intended for Android devices, we also acknowledge this or called it as a firmware or a flashfile for mobile phone.

ROM stands for "Read-Only-Memory", It is a complete version of an OS which makes run everything you need to operate the mobile devices, except it's customized by someone in some other way.

For the iPhone and iPad, those read only memory descend by Apple and could usually just be updated when Apple brings out upgrades. But for Android, there are numerous of developers or programmers who works on custom ROMs for most common models of mobile phone devices, which they are pleased to contribute it with the community of android users.

What you can get when installing a Custom ROM or shall we say firmware for mobile phone?

Custom ROM are free to use and often faster than the pre-installed rom, bug free, less battery consumption, more efficient and usually uses less RAM. So, if you are not happy on the OS that you've been using right now and want more modification for your handset, you can always have the rights to change it by flashing a customized rom. Because most of these roms are been modified and customized by several developers to be able to make more suitable to your taste.

But, there are some great tips or precautions we must always consider to take or to follow when flashing or installing a custom rom.

1. Use the right or intended USB cord for connecting the mobile device to pc. Using generic usb cord may cause unintentional disconnection that results to the interruption on the on-going processes while flashing rom and this scenario could end you up for having a damage phone.

2. Charge your device battery into full and not just think of something like this "This could be enough". As what I've been mentioning on the first step, this could cause a disconnection.

3. Keep in mind by doing a flashing of rom on your mobile devices might damage your phone or may bricked your mobile phone and may void the warranty of your mobile phone devices. And it is highly been recommended to make a necessary back-up of the most important data, contacts, messages and so on that needs to be restored.

4. Use the right rom. On finding a right ROM for your device is more often difficult on this present days, so I recommend you to take a minute on reading this blog (How to choose a right rom?).

5. Another great article for (Why you should try them out)
